CripTales!

Its been a long time coming, but finally CripTales hits the UK screens this week! Thereafter on IPlayer for a while.

Crip Tales poster

I’m very proud of this, and hope you can watch all of them, then write an email to the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Sky, etc drama depts, asking for more quality authentic drama using disability in the narrative and with disabled actors!

First broadcast is on BBC 4 at 10pm on Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th. Please watch CripTales which is some of my curated series of monologues around disability.

Happy 25th anniversary of the Disability Discrimination Act !!

"CripTales - A life-changing moment is captured in six powerful, dramatic monologues. Written, directed and performed by disabled people and curated by Mat Fraser." - BBC 4

In other news: “Party Doll” !!

I’m making a horror film with Julie my wife, co-creator in ONEOFUS, and partner in life and crimes.

Its mostly to test our new IPad & equipment for filming and editing - hey, in this time we should get on with D.I.Y. work, as I don’t know about you, but no one is offering me anything right now! - and we have a fantastic set of an old swingers’ house that is now derelict.

I shall be acting in it with my quarantine moustache (see pic above) , which I can then get rid of. Its been fun, but I miss kissing without tickles…and other such lingasual type concerns.

What if everyone was disabled?

Mat Fraser
Mat Fraser presents What if everyone was disabled?

What if everyone was disabled?  Is the title of a BBC Radio 4 documentary that I present, made by Steve Urquhart. Its a look at universal design, inclusive design, and all manner of aspects of this physical world of barriers, and how disabled people navigate its inconsistencies.

Currently due for broadcast What if everyone was disabled? will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Thursday 16th July at 11.30am BST.

It'll become available on BBC Sounds too of course.
