July 2018 Update

Mat Fraser as Richard 3rd
Richard III
Last year in 2017 I played Richard III for Northern Broadsides’ 25th year anniversary production, at Hull Truck Theatre during their year of being City of Culture.

Directed by the legendary Barry Rutter (currently directing rehearsals of “The 2 Noble Kinsmen” at The Globe), I was the first disabled actor to take on the role in the UK. Lo and behold a year later, last week I was working for The Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre as a cast member of their Sonnet Walks, and the Westminster Abbey performances of scenes and speeches from Shakespeare’s plays, along with 22 other actors including Mark Rylance (10/10) , who was the inceptor of this project 25 years ago.
